Now that we moved past the worst of COVID and with the 2023 Junior World Championships on the horizon in August of 2023 we are working on our Junior program once again.

The first step is to identify players who are interested in participating in our Junior program and taking part in mentoring programs, practice sessions getting to know other junior players in Canada. We will coordinate online practice sessions, try to find partners for those who need them and introduce them to various programs within the CBF that may be of benefit to them.

From this group we will be looking for players who want to participate in the selection of teams for the 2023 World Youth Championships. If you are interested in the program, please send an email to juniors@cbf.ca with the following information:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Partner’s Name (if you have a regular Junior partner you play with)

All players in the Junior program must be CBF members. If you want to join, please click on Join the CBF and use promo code JUNIOR to get 50% off. (Discount is offered to players up to and including 25 years of age)

The  World Bridge categories for the 2023 World Youth Championships will be:

  • Under 31
  • Under 26 – Open
  • Under 26 – Women
  • Under 21
  • Under 16

NOTE –The WBF has made an exception to the age rules for 2023 because of the pandemic and is allowing up to 2 players who are one year over the age restriction on each team.
