Congratulations to Dan Jacob and Piotr Klimowicz who won the senior pairs at the World Bridge Games 2024 last October. Dan and Piotr, and their teammates, were the only Canadian team to qualify for the team knockout stage, making it in the Senior teams. They won their round of 16 match against Poland and lost in the quarter-finals to a very good team from India, who ended up losing in the final to the USA! Congratulations to all the Canadian teams who participated!

In this issue, the editor’s message, Michael Roche’s open letter to the FCB and the FCB’s open letter to members feature information of interest to bridge players. An article by John Carruthers reports on several interesting hands at the World Games. Brad Bart reports on hands played by the Open team at the Canadian Bridge Championships in Penticton. And don’t miss our other articles and quizzes, as well as the usual article featuring answers and comments from the panel of experts at the last Canadian Bidding Contest.
