2025 Canadian Hall of Fame Induction
The Hall of Fame committee has elected Gloria Bart and Joan Eaton as the 2025 inductees into the Canadian Bridge Hall of Fame.
Gloria and Joan are top players who had an outstanding record of success for more than three decades. They each represented Canada 9 times in world competition and are both WBF World International Masters.
- Gloria’s record includes 2 bronze medals in world championships, 2 wins in North American championships, and 6 wins in Canadian championships (+5 seconds).
- Joan’s record includes 4 wins in North American championships (2nd most among Canadian female players), and 7 wins in Canadian championships (+6 seconds).
Lifetime Achievement Award
The CBF Lifetime Achievement Award is given to individuals in recognition of their long and outstanding service to Canadian bridge and the Canadian Bridge Federation. Candidates for the award are administrators, teachers, tournament directors, and others who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the game and the expansion of bridge in Canada.
The CBF Board of Directors have elected to award the Lifetime Achievement Award to Neil Kimelman.
Neil has served the Canadian Bridge community for over 45 years in various capacities:
- CBF Board of Directors and president
- Unit 181 Board member and president
- Bridge Canada Publisher and Editor since 2013
- Bridge Writer – three published books
- Bridge Teacher / Promoter
- Top Canadian Bridge Player winning/placing in many National events
Ceremony
The induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame and the Lifetime Achievement Award will take place in Toronto, during the Canadian Championships.
