Happy New Year
A message to CBF members as we begin 2026.
Dear Member,
As we step into 2026, the Canadian Bridge Federation (CBF) wishes you a happy, healthy, and fun-filled year — full of great bridge, friendly competition, and opportunities to connect with fellow players, both online and face-to-face.
2026 is a special year for the CBF as we celebrate our 🎉 60th anniversary! For six decades, the Federation has worked to promote, support, and protect bridge in Canada, representing our players nationally and internationally as Canada’s National Bridge Organization.
Did you know that the CBF Board of Directors also acts as trustees for several charitable initiatives? Through the CBF Charity Fund (CBFCF), we’ve raised and distributed over $1.3 million to support other registered charities. We also proudly manage the Erin Berry Memorial Fund to help support our junior players. And of course, we continue to coordinate the annual Alzheimer’s Fundraiser — a cause that’s close to our hearts as we all get a little older!
We encourage you to visit www.cbf.ca often to stay connected and learn more about upcoming events and opportunities. If you’re interested in becoming more involved with the CBF, we invite you to consider joining our Board of Directors. Nominations are accepted every fall, and elections for the six zones happen on a three-year cycle.
If you have questions, feel free to contact our President, Shelley Burns at president@cbf.ca, or our Executive Administrator, Sondra Blank at admin@cbf.ca, or reach out to your local zone representative.
We look forward to a wonderful 2026 together!
