This winter’s IMP League is designed to help newer players build confidence in team-style bridge in a friendly, supportive environment.

The Canadian Bridge Federation is running a series of online games for players with 0–499 masterpoints. Each weekly session includes:

14 boards played with your partner
A 30-minute post game live review

You’ll hear a Canadian expert walk through the hands you just played and explain what worked, what didn’t, and how to think about IMP scoring — all in real time.

✔ Register anytime — even after the season starts
✔ Games are $6 per player per session
✔ Each game is optional, but scores accumulate and participation bonuses apply
✔ Play with any partner — or come solo and we’ll help match you

📊 Rankings & Progress

For each game, last place earns 1 point, second-last earns 2, and so on — up to first place.
Each game you attend also earns a 4-point participation bonus.
Your overall ranking is the sum of placement points + participation bonuses.
Overall scoring is individual — you can play with different partners from week to week.

🧩 Joining the Game

Sessions are held Tuesday evenings at 8:00 PM ET.

✨ Strong recommendation

Play one RealBridge game before your first league session so you’re comfortable with setup and table mechanics. The CBF runs a Maple Leaf 0–499 Matchpoints game every Friday at 7:00 PM ET, and RealBridge offers matchpoints sessions daily.

🧩 Setting up your RealBridge account

Before you play your first IMP League session, you’ll need an ACBL number and a RealBridge account.

Get an ACBL number (free)

If you’re not an ACBL member, create a free Guest Membership.

Create your RealBridge account

Use the RealBridge sign-up page. When prompted, choose Continue with ACBL.

Add funds to your RealBridge account

A small balance is required to pay table fees when you play.

Do this before your first game

This gives you time to resolve any technical or bank authorization issues.
