The Great Canadian Bidding Contest: September 2024 Problems

In the June 2024 issue of Bridge Canada, you can review the last set of problems, along with the answers and comments of the expert panel. The whole panel were tightly bunched with scores in the high forties, but Mike Hargreaves (49) and David Turner (48) nipped the rest of the panel. Welcome Ben Zaidenberg to our June panel! Ben, a former representative of Canada when a Junior, is returning to more active playing. Ashot Harutyunyan had the best reader score for June.

The Canadian Bridge Championships are going on in Niagara Falls. The first event to be completed is the Canadian Senior Teams - CSTC.

Next Canada Wide Game on BBO May 20 – Canceled today

Our next monthly Canada wide virtual BBO game will be held on Saturday May 20
- “CBF 499 Game” $5 for 20 Boards - 1:00pm EDT
- “CBF Open Game” $6 for 24 Boards - 1:15pm EDT
The monthly game is held on the Saturday of the 3rd weekend of the month, and in for CBF members only. Thank you for supporting Canadian Bridge and have fun!

Get your qualification for CNTC & COPC (Canadian Open Pairs Championship) 2023

We are adding additional online qualifying games in February so that everyone can get their qualifier for CNTC A, B & C and the Canadian Open Pairs Championship COPC to be played at the Canadian Bridge Championships in Niagara Falls, ON May 10th to 19th.
Dates: Sunday 12th, Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th, Saturday 18th. All games will be played on BBO. Search for CBF under Virtual Clubs and will be $5 US for 999er games and $6 US for Open games. Continue reading for the times and more information.
