Lifetime achievement award

The CBF Lifetime Achievement Award is given to individuals in recognition of their long and outstanding service to Canadian bridge and the Canadian Bridge Federation. Candidates for the award are administrators, teachers, tournament directors, and others who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the game and the expansion of bridge in Canada.

Richard Anderson
Richard Anderson

Richard Anderson has served bridge in different capacities for over 35 years, including:

  • Member of the CBF Board of Directors from 1981 to 1991, and CBF President from 1982 to 1984
  • Represented District 18 on the ACBL Board of Directors from 1992 to 2009 and was elected ACBL President in 1998
  • President of South Saskatchewan Unit 573 from 1980 to 2008
  • Member of the WBF Executive Council from 2006 to 2008
  • Chairman of the ACBL Board of Governors from 2012 to 2016
