No electronic devices (except for medical reasons) are permitted in the game room or surrounding area (including restrooms). Tournament Directors will handle emergency or important communication situations on a case-by-case basis, as they deem appropriate.

The following penalties will apply if a player is in the game room or surrounding area in possession of an electronic device:

  • If it is during the round robin of a team game, the player’s team will be penalized 2 VP.
  • If it is during a team KO game, the player’s team will be penalized 6 IMPs.
  • If it is during a pairs tournament in IMP, the pair will be penalized 6 IMP.
  • If it is during a pairs tournament, the pair will be penalized 25% of a board.

Spectators violating this policy will be ejected from the game room for the remainder of the session.
