CBF Team League Format, Schedule &amp; Scoring<\/h3>\n            <p>Teams play all matches online on RealBridge. Matches take place on Thursdays at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, beginning October 1, 2026.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Regular-season matches are 20 boards.<\/li>\n              <li>Scoring uses the WBF 20-VP IMP scale.<\/li>\n              <li>Because of Nationals, the league skips November 5, 2026.<\/li>\n              <li>After the regular season, playoff matches run 40 boards, normally over two consecutive weeks.<\/li>\n              <li>Finally, divisions and the exact schedule depend on the final number of entries.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>2. Registration, Fees &amp; Membership<\/h3>\n            <p>Registration closes September 24, 2026. CBF will publish the match schedule September 28, 2026. A division needs at least six teams to run.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Entry fee is $200 CAD per team.<\/li>\n              <li>Teams may include players from any country.<\/li>\n              <li>Non-CBF members are subject to the <b>$15 non-member surcharge<\/b>.<\/li>\n              <li>However, CBF does not issue refunds for withdrawals or forfeits.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>3. Eligibility &amp; Team Composition<\/h3>\n            <p>Teams consist of four to eight players. Each player may register on only one team for the season.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Players must not be under disciplinary sanction or suspension.<\/li>\n              <li>If a team needs a substitute, see the policy below.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>4. Captain&rsquo;s Duties<\/h3>\n            <p>Each team must name a captain. In addition, the captain handles team registration, convention cards and communication with CBF.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Before the deadline, register the team and confirm all roster details are accurate.<\/li>\n              <li>Submit convention cards and lineups<\/li>\n              <li>Check posted scores and report issues promptly.<\/li>\n              <li>Email admin@cbf.ca about substitute players before they play.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>5. Lateness, Forfeits &amp; Attendance<\/h3>\n            <p>Teams should be online and ready at the scheduled start time. Therefore, lateness and forfeits may affect the match score.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Ten minutes late: 5 IMP penalty.<\/li>\n              <li>Each additional five minutes: 3 more IMPs.<\/li>\n              <li>Thirty minutes late: match forfeited.<\/li>\n              <li>The league scores forfeits according to the Conditions of Contest.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n            <p class=\"rule-alert\">\ud83d\udea8 <strong>Serial Lateness:<\/strong> Any team that is late more than twice during the season may face increased IMP penalties, VP adjustments, or other disciplinary measures at the League Coordinator&rsquo;s discretion \u2014 even if the lateness is only a few minutes.<\/p>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>6. Online Play Procedures<\/h3>\n            <p>Players alert and explain their own calls online. During every match, CBF expects courteous communication at all tables.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>The league permits undos in the auction only, subject to the Conditions of Contest.<\/li>\n              <li>Players must keep camera and microphone enabled during play.<\/li>\n              <li>If routine issues arise, captains should resolve them in good faith.<\/li>\n              <li>For unresolved scoring, conduct or ethics concerns, email admin@cbf.ca.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>7. Substitution Policy<\/h3>\n            <p>Each team may use <strong>one (1) substitute<\/strong> per season.<\/p>\n            <ul>\n              <li>Every substitute must be a <strong>current CBF member in good standing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n              <li>They may play for only one (1) team during the season.<\/li>\n              <li>No substitute may <strong>enter or leave<\/strong> a match in progress.<\/li>\n              <li>Playoff matches may not include substitutes.<\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n            <p>Before the match, the captain must email <strong>admin@cbf.ca<\/strong> with the substitute&rsquo;s name and relevant details.<\/p>\n          <\/article>\n\n          <article class=\"rule-card\">\n            <h3>8. Director Rulings<\/h3>\n            <p>No Director is on duty during match play. Captains should resolve routine issues in good faith at the table.<\/p>\n            <p>Captains must report any irregularities, ethical concerns, or disputes that they cannot resolve to <strong>admin@cbf.ca<\/strong> within 24 hours of the match.
