Le plus grand nombre d&rsquo;\u00e9quipes jamais enregistr\u00e9 (69) y ont particip\u00e9, malgr\u00e9 l&rsquo;absence des \u00e9quipes des groupes B et C. Il y avait donc quatre cat\u00e9gories : Open, Femmes, Senior et Mixte. L&rsquo;avance de 5 IMP pour&nbsp;<strong>BARAN<\/strong>&nbsp;est devenue une avance de 6 IMP pour&nbsp;<strong>FERGANI<\/strong>&nbsp;ce qui s&rsquo;est av\u00e9r\u00e9 la marge finale.&nbsp;La diffusion de <em>Bridge Night in Canada<\/em>&nbsp;comprenait une interview avec les gagnants &#8211; comme sur son homonyme de hockey. Kamel Fergani y a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 quelque chose comme \u00abJe suis all\u00e9 au chelem parce que je pensais que nos adversaires allaient aussi y aller\u00bb. Gordon a jou\u00e9 petit sur l&rsquo;entame&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u2663<\/span>. Est a jou\u00e9 la&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u2663<\/span>D pour revenir du&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u2663<\/span>10. Cela suppose que les tr\u00e8fles sont 5-3 et que les adversaires peuvent faire chuter le contrat en prenant la main. Une autre possibilit\u00e9 est d&rsquo;esp\u00e9rer que les tr\u00e8fles soient 4-4 et que l&rsquo;impasse au&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span>R r\u00e9ussisse.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon n&rsquo;a fait ni l&rsquo;un ni l&rsquo;autre! Il a mis les adversaires en main \u00e0 tr\u00e8fle, leur couleur d&rsquo;entame. Observant attentivement les cartes jou\u00e9es, il a correctement d\u00e9duit que le&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2665<\/span>R serait \u00e0 l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur (avec Est) et vu que Est a d\u00e9fauss\u00e9 deux piques. \u00c0 la fin (lev\u00e9e 12), il \u00e9value que Ouest a d\u00e9but\u00e9 avec seulement 2 piques, donc avec la \u2660Q doubleton.
