International Fund : Fund Raising Initiative PDF Print E-mail
The CBF is asking all top level Canadian bridge players to make themselves available for auction during some or all of the ACBL Wide International Fund games (3 a year) and Canada Wide Olympiad Fund Games (2 a year).  The idea is that a club could auction a top player off to play with the highest bidder during one or more of these games.   The proceeds raised from the auction will be sent to the Canadian Bridge Federation International Fund.  Each player taking part will receive a credit of 10% of the funds raised in their auction.  The credited funds will be paid out to the individual player when that person qualifies to represent Canada in a WBF World Championship event.  Talk to your local bridge club about scheduling such an event in 2010.

This Fund Raising initiative will help raise much needed funds for the CBF International Fund and also get our top players directly involved with the raising of funds.   For more information contact the CBF Executive Assistant. Upcoming games are:

Thursday, October 21, 2010 (evening)
Canada-Wide Olympiad Fund Game #2
