2017 Online Teams Championships

Registration is now open for the 2017 Canadian Online Teams Championships.

Based on your feedback on last year’s championships, we have changed the scheduling process to allow teams to mutually agree to reschedule a match earlier than, or up to 10 days later than, originally scheduled.

Call For Nominations

The CBF is currently accepting nominations for Zone Directors in Zone III (ACBL District 2, units 166, 246 and 249) and Zone VI (remainder of ACBL District 2, units 181, 212, 228 and 238). The term of office for CBF Zone Directors is three years and the new term will start on January 1, 2018.

Senior Eligibility Age

At its recent meetings in Lyon, the WBF Executive Council decided to raise the age requirement for Senior players to 65. Implementation will be gradual over the next 8 years starting with 2018 when the minimum age is raised to 61.

$42,000 Raised for Alzheimer

23 clubs participated in the 2017 Canada-Wide “Day of Bridge”, organized by the CBF, and raised $42,000 for our local and national Alzheimer Societies. We are very proud of their contributions and thank them for their efforts to support the event.

Audrey Grant-CBF Tour Coming to Ontario

Last year the Canadian Bridge Federation (CBF) partnered with Audrey Grant and Better Bridge to offer a cross Canada educational bridge tour. This initiative was undertaken to bring new tools to bridge teachers, introduce more Canadian players to the world of bridge, and educate advancing players in modern bridge methods. In the meantime, the tour aims to acknowledge and promote the Canadian Bridge Federation as the national bridge organization serving players across Canada.
